From the hotel directly onto the cross-country ski trail. The Wildschönau offers the ideal conditions for ‘Nordic walking’ in winter. Cross-country skiing is all the rage and more and more sporty contemporaries are choosing cross-country skiing as their favourite sport.
Cross-country skiing is rightly booming, as 90 per cent of all muscles are used and the joints are spared at the same time. A wide range of cross-country skiing offers and great holiday packages await you in the Wildschönau - within sight of the Wastlhof, the starting point for your tours.

Just a few steps from the hotel to the cross-country ski trail

With us, you have the cross-country ski trail almost on your doorstep. In just a few steps you can reach the cross-country ski trail in the field opposite the Hotel Wastlhof. On the left, the trail leads you to the Penningberg cross-country ski trail, a wonderful 12 km long section, on the right it goes to Oberau, partly along the romantic Franziskusweg. From Oberau you also have access to the Roggenboden trail.
Most of the trails are of easy to medium difficulty and are characterised by beautiful scenery.

The trail is a special highlight for cross-country skiers. The high-altitude trail with fantastic views of the highest peaks in the Wildschönau is located at the end of the valley on the Schönangeralm. The trail is ideal for both advanced and professional skiers.

 

The 6 trails in the valley offer beautiful views over a total length of approx. 40 km. Cosy inns invite you to take a break along the way.
