Golf in the tyrolean mountains

Golplätze in herrlicher Panoramalandschaft

You might not think it, but mountainous Tyrol has a large number of very attractive and scenic golf courses, and the Wildschönau, naturally including the Wastlhof, is an excellent starting point from which to explore the finest the region has to offer.

Westendorf Golf club

It’s just a 20-minute drive to the new Westendorf championship golf course in Brixental. Located around 1.3km from the village, the secluded course (18 holes, par 72) with 5 par 5, 5 par 3, and 8 par 4 holes has a total length of 5,920m.

Walchsee Golf course

Professional gold training in the Kaiserwinkl, north of Kufstein. Surrounded by one of Europe’s most beautiful high moors, you can try out golf here without having to be a member. Green fee players with course permission are also warmly welcomed.

Schwarzsee Golf course

The Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee golf course is arguably one of the most beautiful 18-hole courses in the Alps and is located just a 30-minute drive away in the lovely Brixental valley.

The imposing Wilder Kaiser chain of mountains in the background and the warm 25° waters of the nearby Schwarzsee lake make for a fantastic backdrop. With a little luck, you may meet some of the famous people who’ve been playing here for years.

Achenkirch Golf academy

The fairly easy, undulating landscape in Achenkirch is practically ideal for the 9-hole golf course, whose fairways make full use of the terrain. The course is located directly by the Karwendel nature preserve – so seeing deer is not an uncommon occurrence.

On offer: private lessons, group courses, training for kids and teens, course walkabouts, taster courses

Achensee Golf- and Landclub

The golf course with 18 greens and a number of pleasant facilities such as practice greens, a pro shop, driving range, rental equipment, trolleys, and e-cars.
